Second-grade students recently wrapped up their fifth Unit of Inquiry with an exciting and creative summative assessment: «Introducing Our Organization.» This experience gave students the opportunity to grow as Knowledgeable learners and practice important Self-Management Skills along the way.
Working in small teams, students imagined and built their own organizations from the ground up! Each team created a Reference Point highlighting the most important aspects of their organization:
Vision: What is the purpose and goal of the organization?
Actions: What projects or activities will the organization lead?
Fundraising: How will the organization gather the resources it needs?
Using colorful poster boards and lots of teamwork, students brought their creative ideas to life. They proudly presented their organizations, confidently sharing their visions, activities, and fundraising strategies.
This Summative Assessment not only celebrated the students’ creativity and collaboration but also showcased their ability to apply the skills and knowledge they have developed throughout the year. We are so proud of all they have accomplished and can’t wait to see where their bright ideas take them next!

Los estudiantes de segundo grado cerraron recientemente su quinta Unidad de Indagación con la evaluación sumativa llena de creatividad: «Presentamos Nuestra Organización». Esta experiencia les brindó la oportunidad de crecer como alumnos informados y de practicar importantes habilidades de autogestión.
Trabajando en pequeños equipos, los estudiantes imaginaron y construyeron sus propias organizaciones desde cero, cada grupo creó un punto de referencia resaltando los aspectos más importantes de su organización:
Visión: ¿Cuál es el propósito y objetivo de la organización?
Acciones: ¿Qué proyectos o actividades liderará la organización?
Recaudación de fondos: ¿Cómo obtendrá la organización los recursos que necesita?
Utilizando carteleras coloridas y mucho trabajo en equipo, los estudiantes dieron vida a sus ideas creativas. Presentaron con orgullo sus organizaciones, compartiendo con confianza sus visiones, actividades y estrategias de recaudación de fondos.
Esta Evaluación Sumativa no solo celebró la creatividad y la colaboración de los estudiantes, sino que también demostró su capacidad para aplicar las habilidades y conocimientos que han desarrollado a lo largo del año.
