Los estudiantes de Transición iniciaron la nueva Unidad de Indagación “Cómo compartimos el planeta” con un fascinante laboratorio. Allí exploraron cómo transformar una simple botella plástica en una innovadora maceta de autorriego. Con materiales tan cotidianos como un cordón de algodón, tierra y semillas, descubrieron que la ciencia también se esconde en los objetos que usamos a diario.
El objetivo de esta experiencia fue mostrar a los niños cómo reutilizar el plástico, cuidar el agua y, al mismo tiempo, comprender la importancia de proteger nuestro planeta. Entre risas, preguntas y descubrimientos, cada estudiante sembró no solo una semilla en la tierra, sino también una semilla de conciencia ambiental que crecerá junto con su planta.

Self-Watering Pot
Transition students began the new Unit of Inquiry “How We Share the Planet” with an exciting hands-on laboratory. They explored how to transform a simple plastic bottle into a creative self-watering pot. Using everyday materials such as a cotton cord, soil, and seeds, they discovered that science can be found in the simplest objects around us.
The purpose of this experience was to teach children how to reuse plastic, conserve water, and understand the importance of protecting our planet. With laughter, curiosity, and discoveries, each student planted not only a seed in the soil but also a seed of environmental awareness that will continue to grow alongside their plant.
