“A best friend is like a four-leaf clover: hard to find and lucky to have”
Friday 17th March marks St Patrick’s Day, a day celebrated all around the world to honor the patron saint of Ireland who ministered Christianity in Ireland during the fifth century. Of course Colombo Gales School, as an international school, held an anticipated celebration on Thursday. The bash included food sharing inside the classrooms, facilities decoration and, of course, the traditional green garment.
Students not only had the opportunity to share with their partners, but they also learnt some facts about Saint Patrick’s Day such as:
- The color green is worn due to the Irish independence.
- The largest parades take place in Ireland and New York.
- The shamrocks are associated to the Holy Trinity.
